Saruman's little workshop...

Seems I am listing towards making silly doll houses instead of manly miniature wargaming-stuff.

The tables were made a few millimeters taller (or do you say "higher" when it is an object and not a person?) because I didn't want to attach Saruman to his workshop since it is not a diorama. He would instead be placed on the floor on his base like a normal model and thus make him taller. But I might have overdone it. Whatever...

Colorama by Llamarama... Bottles, candles and books and a little throne for Saruman's skinny behind. The tables are almost as cluttered as in the movie:

I made a tiny scale but looking at this image it seems insufficient. I would also like to make at least three windowed walls to set the scene more appropriately. That's all until next weekend, good night!

    1. And this evening I will try to paint all these little bits and bobs :/

Not entirely unpleasant but not directly entertaining (I LOVE it (not really) when the hobby feels like going to work, like when playing the PC-game MoOIII - even in the reviews they said the same thing: Feels like going to work)!

  3. Its brilliant, I'd love to know where you got all the little bits and pieces from or are they all scratchbuilt?

    1. Thanks man! The skeleton is a Mantic undead rat, and the barrel is a Renendra generic barrel (IIRC). The furniture is scratch built using artist's cardboard which warp very very little when wet (with paint!).

Candles, bottles and a few of the backs of the books (rather specific here) are GS-scratch built. I am satisfied with the amount of stuff, perhaps not with the quality and/or finihs of each individual piece, but the amount of it should make one disregard this, and focus on the overall instead of specific details.

At least that's how I look at things, which is (probably) why WotR is the game for me ;D
