Captain of the Palace Guard, phase 3 or 4

This project is soon finished. I painted the model hastily to see what obvious flaws could easily be fixed and then repainted.

In the first iteration, to your right, he looked a bit like Joaquin Phoenix, and that's fine in itself, but not really what the target was. So, to your left you can see his shaved chin and fixed upper lip as well as some minor adjustments.

Not really like Joaquin, though...

... anyway, the modifications made the miniature look even less like Joaquin, which all in all I suppose is a good thing for a Mirkwood Palace Guard Captain.

    1. He's done it: In the movie "Her", I think it's called. A hipster 'tash :)

  4. Lovely work as usual. How does he scale to other Elves as he looks short from the camera angles? Not that I have anything against short people!

    1. Are you sure you're not one of those evil haters of midgets? Just came home from a "conference" on discrimination and general evilness in the Swedish society, so I may very well turn you in to the thought-police ;)

I probably have to post some comparison pictures, thank you for noting it, though it will make this sculpt look very flawed!

Sorry for the late answer, by the way.
