Mr Azog is done

Done and done. Also, the revampation of my Isengard army is done. The models are not well painted but I couldn't motivate myself with repainting them, especially when it is impossible to find Simple Green or anything like it (or whatever it is called, the product that you can use to remove colour from plastic models). This is indeed the last DDR-state.

Despite him being one-armed, I equipped him with a two-handed, super-heavy iron warhammer to emphasize his awesome upright-orc-strength. The hook was a necessity, but I think it doesn't hold up very well so I might try to sculpt the tri-hook instead. When this heat wave dissipates I shall do it.

Finished the bases and trays. Now I only have Mordor, Gondor and the Edheldu (Wood Elf) army left to renovate. Perhaps I will get a game in after that.

  1. No a bad effort at all on Azog, I would even dare to try to sculpt one!

    1. You definitely should, especially considering most of the sculpting here was just legs!

    1. So, it was Simple Green, then. It will probably end with me ordering from the US and accepting the silly postal fares. The things we do for our hobby... Happy to hear you like him, the weird neck-thingie didn't turn out as well as I had hoped, but hey-hey.

  3. Your sculpting has really improved and the different parts you added (head and torso) work well together. Nice. And I really like the Isengard renovation. The clearer colors make it pop.

    1. Very nice to hear that mr FoB. The clearer colours are not existing in the real world, though, they are the aftermath of an old telephone-camera paired with super strong military flourescent lamps. The bases and trays are in fact much darker :(
