Jarn Hills War Wagon 100%

Finished painting the Jarn Mountain War Wagon (for Dwarwes). It was troublesome due to all the silicone and release agent residue on the different parts. The wheels were especially troublesome. As is normally the case here, the model could use roughly 20 more hours of painting, but I know when to leave well enough alone... I have never particularly enjoyed painting.

The model was made with the intentions of making a mould, so I refrained from making reins and other details which add very little but trouble [when making a mould].

Three crew. A gunner, a driver and a loader.

Järn (jaern) means iron, so go figure what model I am not trying to infringe copyrights on. Ell... oh... ell...

Lastly:

1) I promised a reader to scan the rest of "LotR: The Collector's Guide", but I am sadly too lazy to do so.
2) I said I was going to do a paint-tutorial on the converted Mirkwood Palace Guard-miniatures and have failed to do so, because I feel I am not a good enough painter.
3) Comments! I have yet to reply to some comments. This will be rectified soon enough!

    1. Oh, you think so? I will go with your advice then ;) as I said, painting it is the least favourite part of my hobby...

    1. For asking so nice, I will cast one up tonight and you'll get it for free. Although, as I am about to blog about later tonight, some of the parts ended up double plus un-good (as heard in 1984) so it's going to be a hobby project in itself tidying that one up.

I hope to make better moulds - nay, I am sure to make better moulds later. :D

  3. This is a fantastic piece of work, Llama! And this from a guy who didn't like the Peter Jackson war goat addition to BotFA.

As for your mea culpa's. Relax, it is hobby stuff after all.

    Keep up the great work!

    1. Many thanks, it means a lot - I am still a bit unsure on my skills so it is always reassuring to hear some niceities (if that's a word!).

  5. Hi Llama. Awesome work! I'm organizing a event themed on the battle of the five armies here in Brazil, and I was looking for inspiration to try to build a goat wagon, specialy one with the Thorin's finests (Kili, Fili, Dwalin and Balin). If you're going to cast another one, I'm very very interested in aquiring one.

    1. Oh, that sounds like a really, really nice project mr Lucas! I have some good and bads news for you regarding the wagon, next update you will get a bunch of information on that project!

And yes, if the casts turn out well enough, I will surely ship one or more to you! The crew of Fili, Kili and Dwalin and Balin you might have to add yourself (copyright) but the wagon itself looks quite a bit like theirs!
