Dwarf Army renovation - phase two

Just a few images of each formation. After phase three I'll try to catch some sunlight and get better pics - they look very grey at the moment but really aren't that bad.

  1. Great work llama. Good to see the dwarves from the Hobbit there, have you painted up the goblins?

    1. The goblins have been painted - and now that you mention it, I don't think I ever did a post on the finished result.

And not only to amuse readers or the blogging-colleague mr FoB (who lives his hobby life through me, nowadays!): I like to look at my models when I am abroad or while at domestic vacations... I suppose it is a little bit like a serial killer always carrying a little piece of his victims clothes or something like that. But less morbid, I suppose. More geeky, more pleasant, I hope ;D

Wow, went off on a tangent there, but it is a hazy Friday, so we're fine with that!

  2. Excellent work, Llama - incredible paint jobs. Excellent work on a number of the new Hobbit models too!

And on a completely unrelated note, that's a *huge* vault team you've got there! I don't think I've ever seen that many vault wardens in the same place at once...

    1. Big thanks mr Centaur for those kind words!

I must say I am happy with the amount of Vault Wardens! But I had to fight them once and I did not like it. For some reason I charged my Morgul Knights into them...

  3. Excellent job, a wonderful dwarven force; " ...Fully armed and filthy!"

    1. Thanks man! I wonder if I should give them more extreme highlights and then give them a little more "running around cliffs"-dirt on them? Some more contrast, simply put...

  4. It's really cool to look at some of the older photos on the blog and see how much your painting skills have improved. Well done Llama. That's quite the collection you have there.

    1. Yaaay! I have always had a problem judging my own developments - whatever it might be - so I think I'll go with your ideas on my painting skills! ;)
